Hi

After fitting bar risers, I need to reroute the throttle cable on my 2011 GSA.

What's the quickest/simplest way of doing it?

Remove the black cap on the offside fork leg then undo the bolt and slide the leg down. Move the cable behind the leg then reverse the procedure above you may also wish to do the same to the wiring on the nearside too

Hiya

That will work for the front brake line but not for the throttle cable that already runs over the top of the bars and down. The brake line runs between the forks.

When I turn the bars full lock to the left, the cable is quite taught. I've routed it best I can and used a cable loop to guide it but I'm not happy with it.

The only way I can see I can properly reroute it is either disconnect it from the top or the bottom. Even removing the bars and manipulating them, I can't get the cable where I need it.

I've removed the shroud of the throttle body grip but I think I need to losen the RH switch block, remove the hand guard, slide off the throttle grip and switch block.

But obviously I'm nervous about doing all this and the whole shooting match falling apart and me not being able to put it back together without some special tools.

Unscrew (carefully) the two parts of the twistgrip housing after screwing in the adjuster to get greatest amount of free-play. Note how many threads are exposed before you start; easy to get to exactly the same amount of free-play again.
Undo the cable from the grip and move it round the back then put it back together. Take your time locating the two halves of the twistgrip surround. It'd be easy to break. It's a fiddle if you're not used to it.
Be very careful not to overtighten the screws into the plastic.
PM for pics if you're really stuck...
