Resetting TPS

Hi,
I have read on here (somewhere) that to set the TPS you:
Turn on ignition and allow to run thro' checks.
Open and close throttle fully 3 times.
Switch off ignition.
Turn on ignition and allow to run thro' checks.

Does this apply to an '08 R1200GS.
