Hello
My 2004 GS DENSO alternator kaput few weeks ago it's totally seized and have a small crack on casing.
Called MOTORWORKS they suggested retro fitting later model one with higher amperage, better for the load with extra lights etc.
So bought one of those and currently swapping the pulley over
The original - standard bolt fixed 67mm pulley
Later one- clutch pulley much smaller in diameter
Regulator and Positive terminal is the same and so is the mount by three bolts
The other electric plug is smaller
Original - larger multi plug two wires blue and green
Later one- MOTORWORKS supplied with one cable yellow
MOTORWORKS suggesting and I'm sure they are right, the yellow wire goes to blue and that should suffice.
But what happens to the green wire which is left unconnected ?
Any one with any knowledge shine some light to this please
