Returning to the fold

Silly me.

I sold my GS a couple of months ago and I actually looked at the fella riding it away and started to regret it.

Anyway, apart from the odd thought of going orange, I think I might get a GSA.

That said, what is the opinion on the low ratio first gear?

Do people have that or not, seems like quite a good idea to me, not that I will venture too far off-road.

I spent a day swapping between my '04 GS and a mates '08 GSA and the low first gear is a great improvement on the rideability of the bike, especially off-road.

I will change my '04 one day and always thought it would be for a GSA but they are now so common I find myself strangely drawn to the KTM 990. If I only had some cash.......

The KTM is an option, but the new prices are nothing short of a rip-off.

Test rode the ktm and the gsa and for me the gsa was the better bike,I change bikes quite alot so not a brand slave,rode a 1150 gsa a few years ago and bought a honda!,do get the enduro box though.
