Reusable oil filters

ffs...

Oil filters are between £7 & £8. Service bike every 6000 miles, but only change the filter every other service (so 12000 miles).

so you would be quite happy to run your bike at low oil pressure for around 8ooo miles, cos the filter starts to block with carbonised oil deposits from about 4k onwards thus reducing oil flow, all for £7.:blast
I'change oil and filter every 3-4k , even the car gets done every 6k regardless.
When i come back from a long tour, out in comes , in with the new.
Oil and filters changed regularly prolong the engine life immensely.
My land rover disco did 185k with no problems at all,and no major work aside from servicing

agree oil and filters are so cheap
i change my oil regular like it clean
in fact got my new 20/50 rock oil ready to pop in before my holidays
and a brand new filter
for everything else theres mastercard

i use these type of filters nearly every day, they are sent away for cleaning but are cleaned in an ultra sonic tank for a few hours.

how are these filters cleaned? not having a pop just a genuine question
