Whilst trying to resolve my rough running 850GS and before book it in, I attached my Draper tachometer to the left HT lead, started the bike and it read about 1k RPM; so far so good. I attached it to the right hand HT lead and it read 2k RPM!!!!
The bike was running at about 1k RPM.
So, my question, have I found my problem, or is the different reading something to do with a wasted spark system? Or is the rough running problem with my coil.
Cheers guys for any input, I'm approaching the point where I'm wondering if someone wants to do a swap for an older airhead version. I love the bike, but am a little embarrassed as to where to start fault finding.
At £35 per HT lead, then £85 for a coil, then £118 for a Hall sensor, then £60 per injector, then.......
