I have a Zumo 550 and use mapsource. I know that I can reverse a route using the invert option on Mapsource while creating a route but can I reverse a route on the Garmin while I am out on the bike.

As far as I'm aware this isn't a feature on the 660 and I don't think it's on the 550 either.

You'd need to be careful anyway as any routing nodes on motorways, one way streets etc. that look OK and work in one direction will cause issues going in the other direction.

You can do it on the 660 in "edit" for the route but as you say it's not perfect because of the issue of placing of waypoints or routing nodes. I don't have a 550 to hand to check so I can't comment yet on those devices.

You can do it on a 550 but it's not perfect.

1. If you created a route using a number of way or viapoints, you can reverse these manually by moving them up and down the list manually. It's laborious but it works. Do though take care of any points placed on one way streets and the like.

2. You can display the path you rode as a track and then reverse it. You cannot though save it, you'll just have to follow the magenta line, with no voice prompts.

3. You could simply ask the device to plot you a route from B to A (as opposed to A to B) and then pull it around manually to match that which you took when you rode A to B.

Well, wasn't aware of that one. Have previously checked this on the active route and it's not an option in there. But the edit button as you load a route, but before pressing 'go', does have a reverse option. Thanks for that.

Thanks for all the tips, think I will have to sit down and experiment a bit. Didn't quite manage to work out Wapping's 3 point. !
