Did you try takining the HIDs out of circuit?
Not yet. This is a total pain![]()
Try it ....all you have to do is pull the connector from the back of the bulb so it doesn't fire up.
There's a 30-40K volt surge when the HIDs power up....that amount of power (ALTHOUGH IT'S RELATIVELY LOW AMPERAGE) can do some odd things to nearby circuits......We did an expedition vehicle a few weeks back that had 4 LED strobe lights on the front, just under the 4 HID spotlights.
The strobes are programmable to flash different patterns by linking a wire to the positive supply, so we set them all up to pulse as the customer wanted them to (it was a fast response ambulance for a big trip)
Anyway, everything was fine until the HIDs booted up......the initial surge was enough to induce power in the strobe wires and they all started going potty and flashing out of sequence

HIDs can cause interferance with other local circuits......so try what Matt says and remove that from the equation
