RID problem

I have a 2002 r1150 GS adventure and I noticed this morning that the RID was not displaying temp/fuel or gear indicator. The clock is displaying but nothing else. I will investigate further at the weekend but before I do what are the common causes , if any?

Any sage advice greatly appreciated.

I don't have any sage advice but it seems that these units can fail without warning. My (just a few weeks new to me) 04' GSA with 35k miles just suddenly gave up the ghost and when I took the unit apart the PCB had a thick layer of corrosion below the level where the clock adjusting pegs are and it had simply burned out due to moisture ingression!

You could try taking everything off and giving it a proper de-watering spray...including the plug under the front right side of the tank, might just cure the problem.

Got back from work travels early so removed fuse 3 and put it back in again turned it on and RID now working fine. Thank you.
