this seems to be an alternative to the Roadcrafter, does anyone know if it's available in the UK? If I've got to order from the US, any thoughts on if it should the Spidi or the Roadcrafter?

ta.

Can't answer for the others, but wouldn't like to be without my aerostitch

PM Wapping - he has an Alpinestars oversuit that he wore on our recent Le Mans trip - similar to a Roadcrafter and a top bit of kit.

There is also Alpinestars 360 Oversuit - came out in 2005 I think.

Ooo-eerr.

Don't confuse me!

I've seen a Roadcrafter, which looks like the benchmark, Desert Rat has one, not seen a Spidi but don't like the sound of the zip failure.

Dunno about the Alpinestars, good price, though:thumb2

Rev'it now do one too that looks the dogs dangly bits. Phone Garry at Millenium m/c in st helens for details. If it's as good as my other rev'it gear it will be brill :thumb2

Iv used a spidi admiral for commuting (leather for faster stuff) for about a year. Seems well made and v quick to get in/out of. Looks OK too. I have not gotten wet yet. armour in it seems good but no proper 'test' yet.

On the zip mine was fine at closing (you need to lubricate it once and a while) and keeping me dry. I did pull to hard once (ok i was yanking on it) and broke it. asked spidi to fix it for me (my fault) and instead they sent me a new suit - which is nice.

spidi admiral is nice - might need to go up one size from normal though.:thumb

It's $100+ more than the Aerostich!

I'v got a 2 piece and a 1 piece suit and they are brilliant. I've done 30k+miles in the 2 piece and over 5k miles in the 1 piece and apart from forgetting to waterproof teh side of teh zips against water ingress in serious downpour (wet inside leg) they've been fantastic.

They're also available in a range of colours and can be custom fit for odd shaped peeps like me!

I bought an Alpinestars 360 this year from a bike shop in Chichester. Top kit. Only problem is that it is rather dull - grey and black...and more grey and black...etc...

Anyone know who stocks the Spidi? Wouldn't mind a look. But if it's dearer than the Roadcrafter then I reckon that's the way to go.
