They fit on the outside.Doesn’t the Sand have a rain liner that can only fitted inside the jacket? Never really understood that as an approach…

From watching the video on post 50 it can go either over or under something i have never quite understood considering the volume of the outer layer also the rolling down of the panels does not appeal at all to me.....They fit on the outside.
interested in the Revit Cayenne suit as that's one of the many that my pal is also raving about....will check in out.Laminated jacket - Klim Kodiak - heavy and reassuring. Still a bit boxy. Annoying side loading main pockets. Confident it would protect me in the event of an off. Reflective stickers peeling off and it only gets washed properly one a year. Fully waterproof to date. Good venting. Worn in 30 degrees but I was sweating like a rapist. You cant get long winter gloves under the collars.
Laminated trousers - Klim Badlands Pro - heavy and reassuring - same as the above but no peeling stickers.
Mesh jacket and suit - Revit Cayenne 2 - superb bit of kit, especially with a cooling vest. Its performance is reduced by the GSs fairing etc. If you stand up it's wonderful. I put the screen fully down in hot weather and it's much better. I carry the tools to take it off completely but haven't had to do that yet.
Waterproofs - Revit but the trousers are hard to put on over boots and if you go up a size they flap like buggery. The jacket has no access to pockets. Fully waterproof so far.
If I had to do it all again? I'd seriously consider a Revit Sand 5 H20 but keep the Cayenne.
Bought mine in 2014 from Gary at ABW as well, he did me a great deal. Has worked for me in all weathers and temperatures. I’ve just washed & reproofed it after a 3 week 3,500 mile trip around Spain, looks just like new.Klim Badlands - for me ,,, I use it in all weathers , it has been on for 12 Arctic circle crossings ,,, it has done Hot in the South of France ,, it has seen more than 45c across Death Valley ,,,,,, and EVERYTHING in between .
Bought new from Gary at the Adventure Bike Warehouse in Manchester in 2012,,, it has NEVER leaked in a drop so far .
It gets a wash occasionally in nikwax tech wash , and then rinsed through with Nikwax gore tex waterproofer .
Getting a bit of a patina about it now ,, but still functional !
That's some recommendation!I've had Rukka, never again, didn't last one full season riding before it leaked like a seive. Sent back & refunded for the full purchase price. I'm a Richa convert now. Had 2 suits in 8 years, each suit will have seen over 100,000 miles, my current suit is still dry in horrendous downpours after 3 years. Great venting and comfortable from the off although I'd say they mould to you over time.
That was my beef with the original Mk 1 Twat Suit. While you remained dry inside the liner, it meant the outer got completely soaked and then it operated like a giant air-conditioner as the moisture evaporated.Doesn’t the Sand have a rain liner that can only fitted inside the jacket? thanks, I had a good read and a bit of a google. I also took out my old Rukka stuff again to see exactly what I had. The Rukka mesh suit is fine although the troos are a bit tight on the thighs which I don't like. Cant even remember the model number....its almost 7years old now anyway....
Reading @richardbd thread above and the other reports above I am thinking along the following lines:
Klim Badlands Pro and a Klim Baja S4 as mesh suit with respective troos. I do have a Helite airvest so no need for the back protectors. Colour scheme is not brilliant and I´d like to understand why the Badlands Pro A3 is a whole lot more cash than the Pro.
I now need to go try it on for size....now to find a dealer over here.
happy to discuss further if anyone has strong ideas.....
I had the top Rev It suit a few years back . Dominator I think . Fully waterproof and well made but rather stiff .Their latest stuff is probably even better but I stupidly switched to Rukka having read all the reviews on here . It was ok but certainly not worth even 70% of what they charge , and like many on here the pants always leaked at the crotch .interested in the Revit Cayenne suit as that's one of the many that my pal is also raving about....will check in out.
Mrs Berin commutes in her Rukka, about 10k a year in all weathers. The current suit is about 10 years old and has never leaked, and while I don’t do that mileage I’ve been in some torrential rain in mine and it’s never leaked. Mines a mix of Nivala trousers and I think an Armax jacket, but my first Rukka trousers that I did commute in from about 2009-2019 did finally leak and that’s when I got the Nivala troos.I've had Rukka, never again, didn't last one full season riding before it leaked like a seive. Must say your comment of the Revit suit the Dominator actually was interesting. Certainly up there in prices with KLIM and Rukka but much more discounts out there…I had the top Rev It suit a few years back . Dominator I think . Richa do a range of laminates as well. I had an Atlantic, which was a cracking suit. I was tempted away by the siren sound of Klim combined with a lucrative short-term contractBelay that…. Just looked at prices here in Europe and the cheapest at FC Moto would mean probably close to €4K on 2 suits. That’s just bonkers money and my Missus might have a question or 2….
I did have a look at RevIt and the Cayenne 2 summer suit looks reasonable and I do like the long fit on the jacket.
Just need to think about an all weather water proof one. The KLIM badlands Pro does look nice but is still a huge chunk of cash.
Anyway please keep the opinions and experiences coming. I am really enjoying reading the feedback. Extremely helpful
Thank you!
Sounds familiar?Jackets are like arseholes everyone has one and thinks theirs plays the best tune.

As said will have a look up close at some of these..
Advantage with Revit it does seem to have more stock. KLIM seems to be short on some sizes…

Life’s way too short to watch videos about bike suitsSee post #50![]()
