Could someone please give me the torque settings for the torx nuts. The bike is a 03 1150 GSA.
Thanks.

Haynes manual says 18Nm for the rocker shaft cap bolts.
The torx cylinder head bolts it says first stage is 20Nm, second stage a further 90 degrees, final stage a further 90 degrees

Thanks,
I had two values in my head 9 Nm and 18Nm was unsure which one.

Valve cover only hand tight be very careful very easy to strip 20 nm 90°x 2 so 180° is for cylinder head 4 bolts

I think they give it in 3 stages for when you are tightening all of the cyl head bolts in sequence..?

180 degrees seems like a lot when you are tigtening them up- leave your mechanicl sympathy on the shelf

Thanks for that, its the smaller torx bolts I am unsure about. BMW are telling me 9 Nm ?

M 10 screw............................................ 40 Nm 3. M 6 screw................................................ 9 Nm X Tightening torque: After 1,000 km (600 miles), tighten cylinder head nuts in diagonally opposite sequence 1. Slacken one nut 2. Tighten nut to initial torque ..................... 20 Nm 3. Tighten nut to wrench angle....................... 180° 4. Slacken and retighten M 10 screw.......... 40 Nm
