I've a GS1100, 47,000 miles, and beautiful. Still running rougher at low revs than I think it should (more than I remember?) despite new plugs (tried Brisk) and throttle bodies balanced. Chap at Mororworks suggested 1) blocked idle air holes (downstream of fuel/air sensor so injection system can't compensate hence leading to over-rich running on idle, or 2) throttle bodies wearing around butterflies (again downstream of sensor) leading to air leaks and weak mixture. Either way it looks like the throttle bodies.
Any experiences of changing the throttle bodies out there? Is it a BMW job to reset the throttle position sensor etc.? Ta in advance
