I have R1200GSA 2014 (K51) with a rough idle which I thought I could resolve by doing my valve clearances, cam timing and throttle bodies but to no avail.

I am no mechanic but love my tools and the ability to use them. I've always done basic maintenance tasks especially if I can find clear instructions. I have recently purchased the official tools to do my valve clearances and cam timing of which I've performed but now have questions.

As you can see (below) my valve clearances are still within the acceptable tolerance, at what point do I act to keep them in tolerance. As the tolerance tend to tighten do I just wait till they get to the lowest tolerance (Intake 0.10 Exhaust 0.34)?

As lose valves are happy valves (I found this saying), when I come to adjust the tolerances should I aim for the highest tolerance value? (Intake 0.17 Exhaust 0.41)?

Measured values were (*Tight)
Intake 0.16* ~ 0.15 / 0.13 ~ 0.13
Exhaust 0.36 ~ 0.36 / 0.36* ~ 0.36

Factory specified values:
Intake 0.10 ~ 0.17mm
Exhaust: 0.34 ~ 0.41mm

I have also bought a GS-911 thinking that I would need it to balance the throttle bodies but I have now read (somewhere) that it's not required with the new ride by wire machines. This wound seam the case as the function isn't showing on the GS-911. I have read a great deal but still need a definitive answer on this as I cannot find reference.

So to summarise if anyone can help answer any of these questions or help point me in the direction to resolving my idle issue I would be truly grateful.
