Here and there.....
Took bike out yesterday.Been sat in garage all week but was fine when i parked it up for the week. Once warm bike runs a little rough hard to put your finger on it but a definite change from last week. When you rev on the mainstand it pops as the throttle shuts off but only when really warm and far more than is normal popping. When riding it pulls but not as cleanly as it did, and feels slightly laboured. Plugs look fine. Any ideas please. 1150 GS 1999.

Have you checked the airfilter and inlet trumpet for obstructions / mice?

When did you last fill up? Could the fuel be going stale and gumming up the injectors? In which case something like Wynns petrol treatment with a new tank of gas might sort you out.

A couple of things, I would go with the fuel thing and get some injector cleaner in the tank. This is pretty much the only thing that could have gone wrong whilst static.

Next is air...do you have an air leek...is the air filter seated properly...only issue is that this couldn't have gone whilst static. Also worth checking the TB balance take off underneath the TBs...are the rubber stops in place? are they split?

Next is stress on start up....I have had plugs that look OK but replaced them and made the world of difference...how long have your been in?

Next is throttle bodies and the balance....again this shouldn't have occured whilst static but will cause rough running and may be going out over time...again makes a difference...when was the bike last services...where the TBs done.

If you do balance the TBs (need a vacuum guage) then valve clearances should also be checked...are fairly basic stuff but go with the easiest first.

Good luck

Have you been cleaning it and maybe removed the plastic panel under the right side of the petrol tank...? I bet you nudged the throttle cable and have unseated it. Someone will post a picture any moment no doubt but check the throttle cable is sitting in it's guide correctly.

Mine started doing this the other day, as you say it's hard to put your finger on it, it just doesn't feel quite right. I'd just fuelled up so I'm going to run through this tank of fuel and see if the next does the same. I'm coming up towards it's next service so will also see if that makes a difference.

thanks

thankyou for all the suggestions my dad rode it today and it seems to be ok was on a low tank of fuel before but not too low maybe it sucked a bit of shit into an ejector or water or some dodgy fuel maybe. hopefully it wont come back anyway. thanks to all.
