Me and my mate are looking at going to Morocco next April, we will have one week to spare once in Morocco can anyone give me advice on routes and places to go, I would like a bit of off road and road
thanks

The 'normal' route for touring Morocco is something like Ceuta > Fes > Azrou > Midelt > Merzouga > Tinerhir > Gorges > Ouarzazate > Marrakech > Khenifra > Azrou > Meknes > Tanger. But with only a week you definitely SHOULDN'T do this.

It's very easy to get suckered into huge tarmac mileages and all you will remember will be endless roads. Get a copy of Michelin 742 which is a 1:1,000,000 scale and buy a similar scale map of the UK so you keep things into perspective.

There's a wealth of brilliant roads and pistes in the Rif and Middle Atlas mountains.

Do you have access to Garmin Mapsource (GPS planning software)? If so, I'll post some suggestions.

Tim

Hi Tim I have the Michelin 742 map and a zomo 550, I dont want to have large road miles as our trips seem to end up this way every year. with only a week I don't want to waste it all on the road, do you need an e mail address to send the info
Thanks
Julian

jules, when in april are you going to marocco? i'm doing a charity ride for Save the Children from yorks to casa/back (hopefully) and will be leaving 2/3rd week in april.tyke

Depending on how crunched we get - we may be in Morocco for April - whole month there of.

We will be on/in 4-wheels - so you may not wish to talk to us. Choice of cars is coming down to either a Porsche 944 or a Volvo 240 Turbo.

:eek :eek

Hi everyone who's going to maroko this year :aidan
I'm looking for a ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao or Plymouth to Santander. Anyone can help me please to decide which one or which is for better price? I'll go on w/end 24.-26.4. and so far alone but will meet two friends in Spain.
Thanks for any help.... Martin:thumb
