I've ripped through a pair of boots with standard pegs on my GSA, some dealer on Ebay is doing rubber inserts for about £34 plus p/p

I've just been to Woolastons and asked if any others will fit, and to my surprise Phill had a look and found the pegs on either a 600 or 450 were exactly the same as the GSA, and they do a rubbery insert kit for £24!

Nothing on the GSA is listed, but if they were they would probably be then most expensive inserts in the world!

So now no more ripped boots... :thumb

They also stop a bit of the vibration through yer pegs (especially when riding with flip flops on!)

Doe they raise the peg height by much?

Do you need to alter the gear/brake lever positions?

Cheers

Mike

Many thanks lads.

Just bought and fitted a set. Look good and no more foot sticking to the footrest. As you said, I didn't have to alter the gear/brake levers.

If anyone is interested I bought mine from Alan Jefferies...£23.28 inc mounting plate and nuts.

Hi Mike,
Did you find it altered the leg position much, ie are your legs any more cramped?

Dont Know if mine are the same but had em on my last 3 GSA's 1200 and they work great don't mess with the height and i like em much better than the stock stick up metal pegs

Big D :)

Hi Mike,

Obviously the distance between the seat and pegs is reduced VERY slightly.

Personally I couldn't tell any difference.

Well worth the money IMHO, and if it hadn't worked for me I would have advertised them on here for a slight loss.

Thanks, might look into some. I have to say that I've not noticed any boot wear yet, but there has the the odd occasion of getting the boot caught slightly.

hi all

has anyone got a part number for these inserts, last time i went to my dealer for a sat nav bracket it took ages for him to find it. might speed it up if i had a number

thanks martin

Ordered some rubber inserts as despite my comment above, my boots have worn, well one has anyway. Must have only checked the right before, which is fine. The left has deep cuts in. Just shy of £24 inc backing plate and nuts :thumb2 Hopefully I'll not notice any difference in terms of leg room.

Isn't it amazing, £24, just what I said they would cost...funny that! :comfort

....... 5mm makes all the difference..........

I actually took the rubber stops of my 2010 GS and it is great. My feet don't slide and better control of the bike. Have a pair of Altbergs and no boot damage.
