I quite like Rukka gear and have several suits some quite old models such as their Airman and the Arma-s
The Arma-s is incredibly tough but ventilation poor. I was looking for something new and the Madagasca-R looks nice but so is the price!
Anyone got one and can share their experience? more interested in the jacket but the set would be nice. Over here both are around EURO 1800 which a hefty sum of money by any means

I've been looking at the Trek R to replace my Rukka Paijanne but it's £2000 for the jacket and pants. And it's made in China.

Two weeks ago I bought some Richa gloves, a Belgium company says Moto Legends in their review. When they arrived the label said 'Made in Pakistan'. I sent them straight back.

nothing much is made in Europe any more that why the world is upside with the new Trumpian direction.....
Someone told me recently that ridiculously expensive fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton even make stuff in China nowadays.....not sure how much of that is true.....
Doesn't really matter where its made as long as the spec is clearly defined...
I am off to Vietnam in 10 days and was advised to visit a specific market in HCM City. There they have all the trainers you could possibly dream of and all the big names, apparently and clearly not original considering the price (about 20 quid) but seeing as the majority of said footwear is made in Vietnam these days apparently there is little difference in quality.....
work that one out....

I am certain that @Motocentral will save you ~£200 if you were to call them and Quote UKGSER. The total advertised price is £1879.98 for both troos and the jacket. Knock off -10% and that then does become a mere £1710 all in. A less of a bitter pill to swallow.

They did offer a UKGSER code but have withdrawn it since. The only way to get a discount is to call them.

Hello
Consider the Held Carese Evo jacket.
Comes with Gortex over jacket.
Sports bike shop have on offer and the leverage an extra 10% at Moto Legends.
Most comfortable jacket I have
My Klim Badlands gear very rarely sees the light of day now.

thanks EV, looks as the price from FC Moto here for me is the same in EURO as it is in pounds so I can buy the jacket for EURO 1099 instead of GBP 1099
£1049.99 and £829.99 from Motocentral. 😉

Held stuff is just as good as Rukka, German engendering but just like Rukka, made in the far east sweatshop somewhere.
I would also not dismiss a properly German made Stadler kit. Motolegends* did stock select few lines but dropped them for one or the other reason.
Stadler make their gear for allot of German (bike) police forces and is immensely well put engendered together. @grantmac The list of distributors for Netherlands is here.

To be honest, if there was a UK distributor still present, then I’d sooner give my cash to German family run business, instead of a corporate bean counter, who is only interested in making big profits for the firm off the back of the slitty eyed folks, earning a pittance of a percentage that the suit is being retailed at.

*A blurb I’ve received from Motolegends when enquiring and whilst I was waiting for the cost figure about a bespoke made to measure Stadler suit for me.

“We have come to the difficult decision not to continue with Stadler for the coming season. We just feel that we have moved in slightly different directions in terms of our respective product offering to customers.”

2 grand for a jacket.... :censored: bonkers
Get yourself a 2nd hand twat suit- doing the job for more years than I wish to count!

Thanks but the question wasn’t what I could or wanted to pay but yes I agree 2k is a lot of money to give out. Question was if anyone had experience.
At the end of the day it’s up to each individual if they want to spend the cash
I never buy anything second hand but that’s just me

Moto Legends may just maybe reselling Stadler kit.
Apparently Stadler have a new jacket
That the man in the caps agrees with.

I’ve listens to the “preacher” and gone full layering system way. I don’t do crap weather any longer as a full year round commuting, so laminated goretex stuff is completely wasted on me.

Grant, I believe the jacket and trouser combo is actually fairly new product to the market. Motolegends have only released the video a year ago. It also isn’t something that (at least in my opinion) a UK rider would chose to buy* and instead would likely to opt in for a Rukka Nivala instead. So probably unlikely that you will hear any feedback from these shores. I do strongly believe, that this jacket is mostly aimed at the souther European market, or specifically at the individuals who prefer layering system compared to a 1 jacket/trouser do all.

*price being the factor and inconvenience of the drop liner faffery, seeing as in the UK most end up preferring a laminated goretex jacket and trousers.

fake news

since buying my bike in March I have used that code at Motocentral 3 times - I even updated the fake news thread on the subject ...

Actually that's the model I bought a couple of years ago the Nivala, so I have that one already. I had an Airman which was great as it had the longer cut jacket and in my mind the best summer suit I had. Still have it but its getting a bit old and worn so looking for a longer jacket replacement

Rukka Treck-R

I have been looking for a suit to fit somewhere between my fully laminated Rukka suit and my Rukka mesh suit.

This one seems to fit the bill, so I toddled off to Infinity at Holborn this morning. They price matched the best deal that I could find in the UK, quite happily, plus I chipped in a couple of vouchers. I’ll receive £50 worth of vouchers back, too.

On its way to me next week.

Thanks for the opening post and tip.

Many thanks for that link :thumb Motolegends have a 'Price beat' on at the moment where they will beat any genuine discounted price by 10%. I just received my Trek R suit from them today, £1522.80 with free delivery. It appears to be really good quality, just like my Rukka Paijanne, but with better features. I'm off to France and Spain next weekend so it'll get a good try out.
