Rukka - wet belly!

My nice new Rukka suit is not as good as it should be.

In any kind of wet or cold weather my stomach seems to be catching the worst of it.

I zip together... make sure that there's no clothing hanging down to suck up moisture and still I end up with a wet cold belly.

And before the fat git comments begin... I don't have a big atomach... at the moment

Any one else suffering the same and.found either the problem or a solution?

Have you tried lubing it with the lib pen? Personally I would exchange it if it's within 28 days. Mine is 4 years old and has never had that issue.

I have a similar problem....sort off. I only have the jacket, not the trousers and I find that with the material on the Rukka being so stiff cold air gets in round the hem of the jacket. Not had any water in there but to be honest ive not been cought in a deluge yet.

Same here my Armas is 6 years old and it lets water up through the bottom of the jacket, the zip is fine
mines a bit on the large side now near the bottom and you cant draw the bottom tight enough,I've got a Klim one that lets you do this.
The cut on Rukka is short at the front the trousers should come with a bib like the HG Master V used to and the BMW pants
This would sort the problem out

I often had the same issue with my Rukka and thought it was probably me or my shape, however, it's not happened with my Klim and in the worst weather I wear an Aerostitch Road crafter, which is totally waterproof for riding

I have three Rukka suits of assorted types; one does it, whilst the other two do not. The one that does it, I just lob a cheap over jacket that comes down a little deeper over the top. That stops the problem.

I get it with my Cosmic jacket, right where the 'over belt' clips together. I think its water sitting on my fat stomach. The cosmic has a double zip, not the storm zip. Also wet elbows today, gonna have to send it back.... again.

I've got the Armaxis jacket with Armaxion trousers. Never been wet or cold once in over 3 years of use. Even when riding all day in some proper downpours in both France & Belgium. Superb gear - for me at least. Sorry you've got trouble. It's got a 6 year warranty go and speak to them. I'm sure they'll look at it

you need to get a new one Tossa Saw its old and aged like you LOL also your belly needs to grow a bit so you can lob in on tank.... Something to do with the ADV bike tank/seat maybe as I got this on my 1150GS and XT1200Z, but not my MT09 Tracer

I think water wicks up between the jacket and trousers from the tank/seat/crotch. I would get a damp patch over my belly button and soggy scrotum.

I've ridden the Tracer in the Ardennes & Vosges in torrential rain and not had the problem.

I thought that it was just me... good/bad to hear that it is a bigger problem. It's not a zip or a fabric failure but rather design flaw.

Can you send at kit back because of a design flaw? It's several months old and the problem has only come to light when riding in the wet!

Hein Gericke had the right idea with the Master suit - the trousers had bib & braces so gravity overcame the vortex.

I'm certain they'll listen to you. You've bought arguably one of the best makes out there and it's not working for you. The retailer might argue the toss but ask him to refer it back to Rukka ( or go direct ).

In my experience the rubberised storm seal was not fit for purpose . Yes applying the lubricant pens were an improvement . The warranty use to be good but I fear got a hammering with this I know. Mate of mine worked for HG at the time. Conventional zipped jackets worked better imho. I had one of my jackets sent back for new storm zips, but it isn't the best design. Try the warranty it certainly use to be good.
