How come you've survived for so long without getting decked by someone ?? I've never known one person come on here and spout so much crap about dealers as you do. Have you just pissed so many of them off over the years you've just run out of options so you have to maintain your bikes youself or what ? I really find your remarks quite offensive .

Well if dealers had not left my bike in a dangerous conditon in the past, failed to do work they charged for then perhaps my attitude would be a bit different, I have also had several fiends who have had issues - brake calipers falling off, sump plugs falling out etc.
In my experience more often than not a tappet service will not be done properly, but will be charged for.
I have a couple of friends in the car trade and they openly admit that many dealers charge for ork that is not done, or do work that does not need doing with mechanics often being on bonuses that reward them very nicely for not doing a job properly.
If dealers do not like being complained about then they should do the work properly, as on the schedule, charge fairly for the work they have done - not much to ask is it![]()
but not yamaha dealers presumably?

When your bike was left in a dangerous condition did you go back to the dealers, with the correct attitude, and get it all sorted amicably?
..... or just slag them off behind their backs![]()

Just a thought.
Dab a blob of paint where the drain plug sits on the casing. If its broken when you get it back you'll at least know its been undone.
