I'm in need of some advice from the wealth of knowledge that I know is out there. I'm disappointed with the finish of some of the fasteners on my 2 year old GS, especially the front disc bolts, caliper pinch bolts, caliper mounting bolts and the front spindle pinch bolt which are all showing severe signs of rusting. I want to replace them all with something that will not corrode which I guess means stainless or titanium. I'm a little confused as I've been told that certain brake bolts can be stainless but others can't, and that there are different grades of stainless and that they won't be as strong as steel. I've priced up some titanium bolts from pro bolt as I understand that they can be used. Unfortunately I don't have the £165.08 they wish to charge for them. I'm not worried about weight saving, just having non rusng bolts on an otherwise immaculate machine. Any metal experts out there that can put me straight? PLEASE!
