Its a Sad Day in Donegal ,,, the Shinners have taken the Seat.
Mores the pity , we could be doing with someone with a grasp
of the economic situation our wee land finds itself in..

Spose on the bright side , if we ever end up in the Ok coral , they may
prove useful , but i dont think there is any place for them in Irish Politics.

I do realise that the ordinary Irish punter has had enough of the lies ,deceit ,
and we are now going to experiance legalised Extortion ,,, but can only hope that
this re-action is not mirrored in the up coming general Election.............

Must disagree, well done Pearse Doherty, excellent result, they have proved themselves in government in the north.............the people have spoken :augie

Whats this "legalised Extortion" you are ranting about?

Tiocfaidh ár lá

Daithi , Is é an lá sin imithe .

We need some serious radical thinkers , learned chaps that understand what
is required and have a better more education led insight on how to deal with
it.. The Balance is more important than it has ever been before.
The Ecb , Eu , Imf ,know how to grasp the nettle , but are not focused on the
people or the country , their focus is money and although important we need
a more balanced and as i say education led driver to think on the Bus drivers
of the nation !..
The politics that the Shinners represent ,{one i dare to say doesnt include a coherant fiscal policy } or indeed any of the other current
crop of political incompetants are out the window.
Sorta along the lines of Churchill being a brilliant wartime P.M. but proving somewhat lacking in peacetime ..

Well ,as you say the people have spoken , but , is this a Knee jerk reaction to the Lies and deceit we have been fed this
last couple of years or have the shinners come up with a feasible fiscal solution ?..

Thought not......

Legalised Extortion ? .. Where have you been ... So what do you think the 4 year plan is ...
There not going to get it off the Seanies , there aiming at you and me Pal ... And to me thats Extortion ..
I didnt get the Range rover , or the half million Euro house , i just had a normal existance...

Why don't we give the guy a chance to prove himself before we start tarring him with the same ol' provo politics brush. For all we know he might have a worthwhile contribution to make.

seems to me they (sf) are going to start taking seats near or next to ni (1st donegalthen adams poking in and around louth ! extending the north or pushin for one south !

I don't think there's anything to be unduly worried about in that regard Dezidero. Though things will undoubtedly be difficult in the north with all the cuts that are coming I don't think they will be anywhere nearly as severe as what our brothers in the south will experience. Finances will maintain the status quo more so than politics I think.

Its a wonder you couldnt just say straight out Gearoid ,without the need for a referal
Are they not your "Barstool" Socialist Pals , or are you just the Stool ?.

all the majority of Irish Politicians have ever done is fed lies and deceit to the populace...........

This i can accecpt , but the time frame in which ,its obvious they
knew ! thats the Freaky bit for me . This isnt recent we have been
monitored for quite a while now . ! . The Game is up then they tell
us.

This is no time to be giving Chances , to a single Agenda Party.
WE HAVE NO ROOM FOR SOCIALISTS , at the minute We definitely have no room for anyoine without a coherant fiscal
policy .Or an Educated Grasp of Economics. The Tired Cries of " Tiochfaidh ar La " will not serve any purpose now..
Remeber these Boys dont even recognise the Irish Republic as a
state , How can they lead from that stand point...

I dont quite understand what you would have to worry about.
In the South at the minute , there is a opportunity for the shinners
to grab a few seats ,because the punters are disillusioned
and the unfortunate truth is they probably will . Ultimately it wont serve us in Ireland any good , simply because they lack the knowledge to
bring us to where we need to be..
As for Extending the North Southwards ?. Its a natural progression
its an eventual , it will happen , BUT not any time soon.
I cant see us being about to concern ourselves with it.
There is more immediate concerns on the agenda , that will
take at least a couple of life times to pay off.....

Tiocfaidh an fear:augie

I did think a while before posting "Tiocfaidh ár lá" it's the sort of posting which others could interpit wrong, and in turn lead them to believe they know my political views.. believe me you don't.

Bogman.

You're talking out of your arse. These boys have nothing to offer. They're still got their hidden agenda. Obviously you have a short memory. The southern government would never share a bed with murderers or their supporters.

Lot of people do remember what they are.

In my view this is exactly what we need(Socialists), it was the whole "looking after yourself and your mates" mentality that got this country into the state that it is in.

Civil, you aren't related to Thatcher by any chance.:augie

I dont believe any of the Political parties have anything left to
offer us . They are just not up to the job at hand.
We need Educated Economists and guys with Hardened Business experiance and even harder attitudes !
these are the types we now need to get us out.
Socialism as a theory is a rosey one , for boys that collect a cheque on a
friday not for the MEN of the world , the men that make it tick ,
not some namby pamby Politician , dont forget these same politicians
lift a cheque on a friday too....Not Results Gauged. We have no room for that now , WE NEED
RESULTS now...

Its Funny you should mentin Thatcher , Myself and a few Friends ,
{yes i do } were just talking about her Last night , and how
she forcast the demise the smaller nations that were afflicted
by the E.E.C as it was then . I will Try and post the Link to the
subject that fired the Debate.....

Oh , i answer to your Question , NO , I am not related
Nor as far as i know , is thatcher lucky enough to have relations in Donegal ,, Now had you mentioned Blair , thats a different story.. ! ..
