I have an Autocom Super Pro, Zumo and bluetooth dongle set up and for a year or so had my Nokia 6230i phone connected without any problems. The Zumo copied over the phone book, making calls easy.

A few weeks ago, I washed my phone!!!
[Left it in my trouser pocket didn't I] I dried it out but it has now died.

I have inherited my daughter's old Samsung G600, which connected to the dongle no problem and connects automatically when I switch the bike on....but..... the phone book does not copy over! I can do this manually via the phone by sending the phonebook by bluetooth but it only remains on the Zumo until it is switched off.

I don't want to have to transmit the phone book manually everytime I start up the bike, is there saomething obvious that I can do to sort this?

Hi Keith,

Just to be clear is the Samsung connected to the Zumo and not direct to the BT dongle. As I run a U600 and my phone book auto sends over to the Zumo everytime its connected.

Yes, when I changed to the new phone, I simply paired it with the Zumo. Should I have been doing something with the dongle too?

Hi Keith,

You are doing all you are doing fine mate, does the Zumo send a message to your phone everytime you turn it on as mine does. The Zumo sends a messages aying do I want to connect tothe zumo and I press yes. A second or two later my phonebook appears on the screen

No, when I start the bike, the Zumo fires up and after the initial booting up [or whatever it is called] there is a display on the zumo saying that the bluetooth is connected and ready to make calls....but no phone book!

Thanks for the help, that's how I managed to send the phone book manually, I guess that it won't copy automatically??

Do Garmin have a list of compatable phones?
