So the camping is filling up then - brave chaps:eek::cool::thumb:D

Anyone considering a b&b - I will aim at settling on the campsite by the weekend so you can sort out where you are staying.

We are not far off the golden figure of 10 for camping, I think any number above this is going to be at the discretion of the campsite.

We could have done with someone bringing their lady along - so we can claim is a mixed party:thumb Any of you brave enough to invite the wife for a treat:D


As for the rides, we are still waiting for a leader for any off road stuff.

How do we feel about combining the road ride with the off road on Sat?

A route could be agreed by those with the local knowledge to incorporate a few lanes in (with bypasses for road only folks). This would let folks decide if the lane was suitable for them and those who haven't done any lanes to see whats possible.

We would have to put a cap of 10 people though I think.

So the other options are a road ride and an off road ride on Sat with people choosing one or the other. Or those wanting can run an off road on Sunday but we will have to be packed up as per the usual campsite rules on time.

We will decide this by tomorrow I think so a route/s can be sorted:thumb

I did mention it to the wife about her coming along on her bike.... she just laughed:yelrotflm:yelrotflm:yelrotflm :mmmm
 
I'm gonna really struggle to get to this one peeps. If I get there I think I will be riding up Sat morning and going home Sat evening :(:(:(

I like the idea of a road/off road combined ride but if the lanes are as Terry describes I would doubt you'll thank him for leading you up that path :augie:augie

Hardnock and Wrynose are really nice (great pub at the end for a beer and fooooooooooood.

Plenty to go at road wise, but the smaller and tighter the better :o:o

Thanks Bazza, as you know the area I'll be assuming that takes in some of the best roads for us:thumb

Terry, do you know of any really easy lanes that are close to parts of this route.

We will need to amend to some degree once I've chatted to the campsites again about the numbers camping.

By the way Bazza, will you be with us for the ride?

with-in the next week once i've updated my map I'll have a good idea and will comment to which lanes we shall be able to do on a GS with the routes we have in mind.:)

Just 2 places for the ride and 2 for the camping left. I'm going to use the total down for camping by Sat morning. I'll need to phone around again to check who will take us.
 
If your riding up in the Morning Rudie I'll meet up and we can ride together if ya like.

We now have 10 people for the ride which is going to be a large enough group.

Therefore there is little point keeping the camping open any longer. We have six confirmed campers for fri and sat night.

Please let me know asap if your name is not on the list or in the wrong place.

Meet ya on the Tescos car park in Newbury at 5.30am, Should be able to get to the lakes for 10am :D:D:D

Alternatively we could meet at the Shell garage where the M6 crossed the A580. What time though, I'd guess it's 1 - 1.30 hours from there.

it takes me a hour to get to windermere from junction 23 in my car...no stopping for food or cups of tea:D:thumb

That's why I put 1 - 1 1/2 hours :blast:blast:blast

Rudie will (like me) at the very least want a cup of tea and a bacon butty :D:D:D

Strangely, I'm quicker in the car than I am on the bike :nenau

In regards the lanes in the lakes we have limit to 6 riders, those are the rules set by CC ,not me.:)
no reason why we can not have two groups, but i'm not sure if anyone else knows the lanes up there ?? is the anyone in our groups?
