I have a Garmin 660 and already have a plastic sun shade thingy that fits using 2 large rubber O rings.

It works to a degree and wondered if anyone had tried bespoke anti glare film directly on the sat nav screen. If so, and you think it works, any chance of pointing me in the direction of a retailer.

Looked on e bay and although some state they are anti glare the small print indicates its more of a protective cover than anything else.

Rather have some form of recommendation than just winging it.

I would like some for the dash - can hardly read the thing when the sky is bright - not even sunny.

I'd be interested in some genuine anti-glare cut to fit stuff as well, like you mackap, I found it impossible to find anything genuinely fit for purpose without it being dark in colour.

Could you use any of the computer screen anti glare screen material and shape to fit?

Good shout, although they are mostly supplied in a frame and are quite rigid and not lend itself to stick to the screen/dash.

I have a TomTom Rider 400 gps. In direct sun it is difficult to read the screen so I got some screen protection which should help. It did not and made it worse. My advice is to tilt the gps and avoid the reflection of the sun in the first place - and live with the reflection you cannot remove.

found that site very good as you said it would be around £35.00 for a 5inch screen ,maybe in the future or if there was a uk supplier

I used a privacy filter for a computer monitor and cut a piece to fit.

Decided to risk it and bought some FX-ANTIREFLEX screen protector from atFoliX (www.atfolix.com). Came cut to shape to fit the Garmin 660 and a doddle to fit if you follow the on line video instructions. You also get 3 protectors.

Does it work? Well yes, largely.

Just been out for a run in the bright sun and the route on the screen was visible at all times. The smaller detail like speed etc wasn't, so not perfect but I found it worthwhile.
