if i read a helpful thread that i would like to return to, how do i save it ?...and on that subject someone posted how to take power from headstock connector with pics (12GSA).... does anybody have a link to it

Most browsers have a facility to save pages as 'favourites' or 'bookmarks'.
In IE, and whilst on the page to be saved, simply click 'favourites' then Add to Favourites. In Firefox you'd save it under Bookmarks.
