Took my 1200LC for Mot. Have not ridden it for 2 months as having a love affair with my Xcountry.
The fuelling, performance and looks are superb. Followed a r1250 gs for a while.
I certainly will not be going for the new 1300.
My 1200LC is more than capable to go head to head with the newer bikes in the real world.
I think in about 5 years the non tft 1200LC will be the bike people rave about.
That looks like a curent GS.This is apparently from BMW direct. Quite different to the leaks above…

and like all 1200s lacks flexibility in gears on country lanes. The 1250 was a very significant improvement, aside the welcome additional features.
strange, mine pulls like a train from tick over
It looks quite good tbh. My 1250 is up for sale. Great bike, 20k in two years. Here you go.
It is the EU4. Model remapped by BHP in Burnley. Professional outfit with no secrets lolWell, it won't be the 1200 Euro 4 model - crap low speed fueling, massive flat spot at 5k, and like all 1200s lacks flexibility in gears on country lanes. The 1250 was a very significant improvement, aside the welcome additional features.

Think u find that that the r1200gs provides around 100nm of torque... I have not seen one review that it lacks torque. No, the torque on the R1200 is great, just that it lacks the flexibility of the 1250, with the result that you tend to change gears more frequently on country lanes. It's this that's the improvement more than any shove per se. It's just a more flexible, enjoyable engine. As for the terrible fueling and flat spots on the E4, that's well documented. I'll wager that those who do trade-up for the 1300 will appreciate the improvement of the shift-cam.
