Saw a picture of the new R1300GS today.

Well for me the pics aren’t making me think I should have waited…not getting me very excited.
By the time mine goes in for its running in oil change no doubt the dealer will have some more pics to show me and details on spec.
So won’t write it off yet but at the moment from those pics I much prefer the look of the current 1250 GSA

This is apparently from BMW direct. Quite different to the leaks above…

Now that looks more like it.........sort of looks as though pannier hangers are integrated....so long as they are still the big and boxy panniers it will be great....shaped ones to be stylish will be horrid and ultimately less storage space
If it's an evolution with backlit controls, radar cruise etc it will be great. Not something I would change after having just got my R1250 but I can see the appeal.
Being as tall as I am, I find the standard GS a bit of a toy and very 'small' - my GSA feels just right, I hope they retain that feel but the 'lowering' suspension helps out the shorter folk.

Having seen the two side by side, I think you are probably correct… Sorry for the duff gen!
i take it all back....if the other pics are the newer model then I am extremely happy I got that triple black that is the pic you posted, obviously without all the sexy lighting! 😜

Took my 1200LC for Mot. Have not ridden it for 2 months as having a love affair with my Xcountry.
The fuelling, performance and looks are superb. Followed a r1250 gs for a while.
I certainly will not be going for the new 1300.
My 1200LC is more than capable to go head to head with the newer bikes in the real world.

I think in about 5 years the non tft 1200LC will be the bike people rave about.

I look at the bike and the anticipated specifications and think what’s the point? Most will be back in the dealers when the PCP contract ends and they’ll have been almost nowhere because of mileage restrictions. I know I’m guessing but I reckon that if you look at old mots for any 10 year old GS they’ll have done significantly more miles in the second 5 years than the initial period. People say legislation is killing motorbikes, no PCP contracts are doing that.

Well, it won't be the 1200 Euro 4 model - crap low speed fueling, massive flat spot at 5k, and like all 1200s lacks flexibility in gears on country lanes. The 1250 was a very significant improvement, aside the welcome additional features.

Here you go.

strange, mine pulls like a train from tick over

No, the torque on the R1200 is great, just that it lacks the flexibility of the 1250, with the result that you tend to change gears more frequently on country lanes. It's this that's the improvement more than any shove per se. It's just a more flexible, enjoyable engine. As for the terrible fueling and flat spots on the E4, that's well documented. I'll wager that those who do trade-up for the 1300 will appreciate the improvement of the shift-cam.

It is the EU4. Model remapped by BHP in Burnley. Professional outfit with no secrets lol

Think u find that that the r1200gs provides around 100nm of torque... I have not seen one review that it lacks torque.
It's a big twin.

Best read what folks write before you make yourself look like a dickhead.
