Scorpio Ride Core alarm install

I just recently took delivery of a new 1200GSA TE and I love it. I also have my old Scorpio Ride Core alarm and GPS Tracker from my old bike and I want to fit it.

It draws a tiny amount directly from the battery but it will need a switched power source to determine when the bike is on or off. I read here and on advrider about tapping the small fuse block at the rear of the tank. After doing this I found it didn't work and just found out these wires stay live up to 30 seconds after the bike is off. So it won't work for me

Does anyone have a suggestion ? Basically I need a switched source for the ground that is completely dead when power is off.

It means not being able to program any of the functions of the alarm. For example I have the alarm fob which needs to be repaired, I can't do that if there is a delay with the power.

Had a similar problem when wiring up after market HID lights but the 30 sec delay was a problem for me on my GS TE. So I took a supply from the tail light, about a 5sec delay after ignition off.

Just a thought, if you take a connection from the fuel pump live supply (before the fuel pump controller) to operate a smallest current taking DIL relay, this then would give you what you need but separated from BM electronic system by the relay. However where this power lead runs I know not.

Obviously I have not done this myself, but that is the way I would start to investigate.

Then try the fuel pump supply as above. I believe that the power to the fuel controller is cut immediately after they ignition is turned off.

I got this alarm and tracker installed and it worked perfectly ....... for two F*CKING days until my remote died.

Does anyone know of a decent reliable alternative ? I'm looking for something that does GPS tracking as well as functions as an alarm.
