Scotland.....a few pics of a short trip

I was :)
Just getting cash out at Barclays

Going up to Dumfries & Galloway to meet Petcul & a few others from here

After Leyburn my screen bolts fell out & I has to nip home to rob some off my other GSA

Yesterday my rear tyre punctured, torn & shredded - managed to use 2 plugs to get me to last night's hotel in Stranraer

Tyre cried enough overnight & ride of shame home on a tow truck

Bad trip this weekend - but shit happens

Bugger about that Johnny, at least you didn't come a cropper. I was at the tail end of a week long trip with SWMBO who was in Glasgow for a work conference for the week - we took in Stirling Castle, Ribblehead viaduct and Richmond along the way - that A684 from the M6 through Hawes is a cracking road - I must get back up to North Yorks on the bike (1100R) as I'd forgotten just how beautiful it is.

Living near Burford on the cusp of the Cotswolds i have plenty of nice roads at hand, but the north and Scotland take some beating.

Ride safe.

Sounds great Steve

if you get up here on the bike, i can recommend Masham as a base and if you want a guide and i'm free, happily show you about:thumby:

So it's not just the LC that has screen bolt issues?:aidan

Not unless the operator is a fecking numpty, like my good self

Took the MRA screen off after returning from Scotland, the subject of this RR

Put it all back together and must have not tighten one of the upper bolts securely - because it fell off within 25 miles:blast

Senility, it's a bad job, so had to return home and rob one from the MRA screen on the other fecking bike

Did the same thing earlier in the week with a recently purchased XR400R, forgot to tighten the headlight cowl bolt and the other side was only finger tight, when I spotted it on a green lane

Still, at least these manufacturers sell a spare parts kit, to make up for my numptyness:augie

So that's my 3 things for this week:thumb2

Sy, it did cross my mind...................but CN did her finest - excellent service and in 20 years of touring, I think ladyluck has been on my shoulder

Thanks for the offer, mate:thumby:
