I've just been quoted £185.00 to supply Tourance tyres, fit vavles and tyres, balance and dispose of old ones by Fast Fit of Helensburgh tel 01436677778.

This includes coming to my factory in Paisley to do the work.

I've placed the order and will let you know how it goes but last time I was charged £218.60 by Ducati Glasgow who now say that they can no longer handle the GS wheels and the BM dealer wanted about £230 at that time (01/03/06).

I always use Glenearn Tyres in Crieff. Just got the BM, so still to check price for it. The Continental & Bridgestone tyres for the other bikes were always cheaper there.

Well today was the day

Two guys turned up in a well equipped van with the right tyres and just got on with it. Had pit stands to support the bike and everything including the balancing machine on board.

Polite, friendly, efficient, competitive and all done at my premises.

Strongly recommended. Usual rider, I have no connection with Fastfit except as a happy customer.

A good price, I would think

I'm sure I was £170+ for a pair at Motorrad Central Dalkeith during their sale. Add in the inconvenience of leaving the bike there.....................

I had a pair of Tourances fitted on Thursday last week at Strathearn on the way to the ferry. £170 all in. I was panicking as I had overslept and hoped to set off at 1000hrs but woke at 1045 and had to take the dog to a friends for the weekend and then pack all the camping gear

Only fault was that he forgot to tighten up the rear brake linkage so as I entered the first bend gunning to make the ferry his parting words of "take it easy for the first 100 miles" sprang to mind when to my horror I found I had no rear brake

I should have checked myself first though

Just made the ferry for a cracking weekend in Holland too
