I'm surprised that you didn't apply a bit of circular logic.
If someone needed to steal yours, why?
Perhaps because theirs fell off?
If their's hadn't fallen off but been stolen, why did someone need to steal one to start this whole cycle of events? Could it be that along a whole chain of thefts we might find one person whose switch had fallen off?
If that one was capable of falling off, could yours have done the same?
Still, I'm glad that it appears that there's no gang of kill-switch thieves rampaging around our fair land (just watch out for the 1200GS wheel-nut faeries).
