Seat adjustment.

I read in a thread that a chap had the front bar higher than the back, in order to alter the seating position, this seemed like a good idea.

In the manual it states that both bars should be in the same position or the seat could rock or become detached.

Anyone any knowledge of either of the above?

Did 23,000 miles on mine with one end higher than the other (can't remember which). The rubber bands holding the bars in place got rubber rot, though.

My pal and I who both have '07 GS's came to the same conclusion separately that the most comfortable position was front up back down, between us we've done 8000+ miles without a problem, you certainly don't seem to be able to dislodge the seat by accident. More power to the excellent GS, neither of us have had any problems either ( mind you we're both non-ABS which may have some bearing!)
