Hi All
I have several bumps appeared along the seams of both seats the rear seat was first to suffer and I placed a warranty claim for it. Just waiting for that one to arrive but now the front seat has developed the same condition with small bumps all along the seams on both sides.

A Guy at work also has a GSA 2014 with both seats doing the same so looks like there may be a few more yet

Here are a couple of pictures of the rear seat, you can clearly see the bump, it's worse on the front one as that has several

I did notice that on the one they had in Vines std GS seems fine another low quaility high price Bmw made in china item :rob

Ditto for both seats and both replaced. However - probably too early for quality control to improve replacements so I'm expecting these to go the same way.....

Had both seats replaced what a difference a couple of months make the new seats are very firm compared to the original ones which had done 4000 miles. I presume they were firm when I first got it. So guess they will soften up with use. Hopefully the new ones have a different foam and the lumps don't return.

My rear has a hump  :D

One week old and never sat on. Will monitor my humps closely :D

Jon

I am sure the seats were softer originally so they may be using a different foam, it took a few weeks for them to appear so will see how the new ones are
Will feedback once I've got more miles in the saddle, also if they soften

Well the new seats have been on for a week and guess what the bumps have appeared already on the front seat. Guess it's back to the dealers again.
If I'm going to have an issue then I'm glad it's of this nature and not mechanical as I've still got the use of my bike.
It must be some sort of reaction to temperatures, any more of you guys having the same fault

Terry

You must have a very sensitive arse, the bump on my seat doesn't interfere with my enjoyment of the bike.:D

Nor does it me but at 16K + I expect quality, if this is what happens after a week what will it be like in a couple of years.

3rd seat now on order should be here end of next week, wonder how many I have to go through before I get a good one

1000 miles and my seats gone the same way

Only a thousand miles and my bike seat has gone the same way. Four bumps/lumps along each of the two seams. I also met a fellow 2014 Adventure rider last Wednesday and the rear seat on his bike was showing the same manufacturing fault. Not good!

Just get BMW to swap it out, and stop moaning.:D
