Just sending off my "Low" GS seat (2014 LC) to get a gel pad installed.

Work getting done by Saddle Craft , anyone had any work done by them??

Did you consider using House of Custom in Clydebank? I'm planning on taking my low Sargent seat to them to have it narrowed slightly. Stuart there does really nice work on seats.

Had quite a few seats sorted by Saddlecraft for various bikes. Having a one piece seat for my LC altered and a gel insert being done at the moment, which I pick up next week. Always a first class job at a reasonable price and very highly recommended.

Out of curiosity how much is that costing you?
Would also love to hear how you get on with it.

Saddlecraft did my r1150gs seats , a low front seat for my R1200gsa, the katana seat and recently an old Guillari seat for a gs750 project.

Les always turns out an excellent job at a reasonable price

I really should be using my low seat but its so uncomfortable that i use the std one and am tip toes, has anyone used a sheepskin? or is it just not worth it and go straight for the Gel?

I've had two seats done at Saddle craft. (My 2013 RT and my current 2014 RT) Les is a good bloke and does a good job. Recommended :-)

Just collected a one piece seat from Les that has been reshaped dramatically and had a gel insert. Workmanship is superb as always. I have specific requirements so every bike I buy gets the Saddlecraft treatment. I cannot recommend their work more highly.

I'm looking to upgrade the seat on my 2014 GSA. Having never had a seat rebuilt, remodeled, redone...do I just take the bike along or just the seat and explain what I want, choose the material, colour etc? I would like to keep the same two-tone colour as the seat already has but just want the whole padding raised slightly (like an OEM high seat option). Also want to have the seat on the low front/rear setting but the actual padding raised at the front so I'm not be pushed forward into the tank all the time.

I have a lamb skin £17 and a gel pad £30 (eBay) mated them together and have a very happy bum for £47

And what's you're experience with the modified saddle ?

Better than OE but not all day good, went for a Sargent seat (had one previously on a TC GS) and I think it's the width that is the answer with the Sargent , 'spreads the load' better.

Now thinking of getting the Sargent altered, slightly narrowed towards the front.:nenau
