Fella`s, I`m tending to ask first before I `fly off the handle` and spend hours designing/commercialising something which I think is brill but others don`t........... (thankfully it does not happen often, but enough).
So, my problem is that I`m a short arse on a standard GSA LC - 5` 9" meaning that the more `foot` I can gt on the floor the safer I feel. Yes I appreciate there are faaaaaar better riders out there who are shorter and more proficient than I will ever be
but, for me, its a problem. So, to lower the seat by about 10mm`s I`ve designed 3 cams which fit onto each side of the peg (once the rubbers are removed). Not totally my idea if I am honest as one of the lads suggested simply taking the rubber bungs out - and it worked thank you
but the seat seemed to `rattle about` a bit. The original bungs must have a vibration reducing effect but TBH it hardly seems noticeable with them replaced with aluminium cams. And, for me, it actually works, I can get a bit more foot on the ground!
So, I`ve designed the cams below - does anyone care to express an opinion along the lines of a) don`t give up your day job Mark but if it works for you fine and use the saved time to ride it or b) good idea Mark, you might not be the only bugger on this planet who could use something like that
Actually, they are dead easy to make and if anyone wants to make them then PM me and I will talk you through it but basically all you need is a bit of solid bar with an off center hole through it cut to length - simples!
