Hi does anyone have any experience of these?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200534231735?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_650wt_907

The seat on my GSA has been modified lower and narrow as well as memory foam and gel. The seat is comfortable other than the fact I have to have the front height on its highest setting. Or should I just by a lower Sargent Seat.

The reason I'm looking for an alternative is because the seat has decided to do this

Why not get matching new covers fitted to your seats, anyone like Saddlecraft etc would do them, plus they would stitch contrasting coloured panels together and not glue them

Hi Neil,

Thanks for your reply.

The seat I have fitted has been modified by fitting memory foam and Gel and its where the seat cover has been stretched thats made it split.

So your right I could just get it re covered the problem is the seat is not ideal as I have to have the front in the higher position than the rear or it gives me back ache and this leaves a great big gap at the tank which I just don't like. My only other option is to send both my front and rear seat to another trimmer and get them re upholstered and re covered (again) and hope they get it right :blast

Update!

I decided to bite the bullet and buy a new Sargent seat after realising they also sell a rear cover to match the riders seat for a minimal amount of money.

Why should that make a difference?

I didn't want the seats to look odd, the rear cover is DIY but how difficult can it be :D

Last seat cover I got for my XR250 I put off and put off fitting it and in the end got a local upholsterer to do it for £5 and he made an excellent job.

Hi Dal

I see or at least I think I see that the seam is in tact and the split started in the material, am I correct?
Its only that I wish to have my seat recovered in an original 2 colour pattern and have started to worry, also how much did you pay for the work done to your seat?

Thanks :thumb

I have used Tony Archer for a couple of seats, including my GS, top quality work and great prices.
