Re-posting from technical section:
I have just come to the realization that I should have gone for the low seat on my GS. I'm not short by any means but I don't like not being able to get my feet flat on the ground.
So, a quick search for a new seat revealed that I would have to spend £150-£250...

After much cursing a new plan has emerged. My mate has a low seat and he is very tall and wants a standard one . Problem solved I hear you say . Not really, his seat is grey and tatty and will need re-covering (mine is black and brand new!). Again much cursing
.
Now to my question (finally!). I have found a company called motorcycle seatworks. see www.motorcycleseatworks.co.uk. As you can see they offer a full re-trim and "comfort" seat shaping for £85. Seems a bargain but it would be nice to hear if anyone has any info on these guys. Over to you....
