No Neck

Guest
On a recent trip some kind individual used something like a screwdriver to punch holes into my saddle. I have totally replaced the main seat, but the pillion has only got one small hole in it and the fabric is still there to cover it. I was going to use super glue, but figure that it may be too brittle and just break once it has to flex again.

Any ideas on what I can use that will repair the damage and keep the seat waterproof. Off to Ireland this weekend and looking at the whether I will need all the waterproofing I can get.

Greetings,

I would be happy to help you with a replacement stock cover, is it for the new r12gs or an older one??

When we build our saddles we take the old cover off, what color is it?

Depends on the hole size and how temporary - but how about clear bathroom silicone.
Fill the hole in the faom up, and using a wet finger - pat the top flush.

sealed and waterproof

No Neck...as a quick fix for your Ireland trip, try Clear Silicone sealant.....pretty much any DIY place will have it........goes off in a couple of hours and dries clear and rubbery flexible.......should do the job nicely ;)

Thank you all, I have taken the silicon option. Managed to cover the lounge floor too … but the seat looks great! With this weather it will need to be waterproof .

You can always say that the silicone on the floor is a try to "spice it up with the missus"...  ;)

Glad the seat is fixed!

:D

Thanks Joker, Unfortunately the missus is away at the moment, which is going to lead to serious questions!!!
