Hello

I’d like to put this type of seat in my GS.

What parts do I need since I have a R100 and not a R80? Where can I find the parts?

And which seat is the lowest?

The seat you want to fit is from an R80 g/s which is a mono rather than a GS paralever, as the bikes have different tanks and I believe rear subframes it's not just a straight swap.

I have ridden a LOT of miles with the GS single seat.
It might look good, but I have concluded its not very practical.

The problem is, you are in a fixed position with no where to move to. Its made a bit better by a sheepskin or Airhawk, but still not good for long days. I ended up putting feet on crash bars, dangling the legs and standing up to ease things.

What's needed is a three-quarter saddle. That would give you somewhere to move to and still give a bit extra carrying space.

That's what I'm looking for. I don't care that its not original

I bought a custom seat cover from NW Classic seat covers on Ebay, lowered and reshaped the seat foam with a bit patient work with a palm sander, then stretched the new cover over.

Looks good and works the way I wanted it to, and it probably cost 10% of the alternatives.

what is the difference in length from a double seat to a single seat from a PD?

or what is length of the rack (BAGGAGE PORTER)

I have a old rear frame and I'm planning to modify it to use with a single sear. But I still don't have the seat so I can't measure it...
