second thoughts on the GS LC

Well. Personal opinion I know, but it's my opinion and It's me buying the new bike, so it's the most important. The wilbers setup on my TC is better than all the bikes I've ridden this week. Not by much in some cases but better control, less float and better bump absorption.

I have never needed to adjust suspension on the fly except on bikes fitted with bmw's ESA system.
I adjust mine once a year when I go on holiday with the missus, and then again when we come back. 20 seconds tops, and admit I do get dirty fingers tweaking the rebound.

I don't touch the compression since I set it up years ago. That is not an option on any of the systems I've tried.

Having said that, if I get a KTM, it will have the electric pack. Special order without, and it's setup suits me better than bmw's ESA.

AAMOI can anyone tell me what bmw's dynamic suspension actually does? I've read it adjusts itself while riding, but have never seen an explanation of how it works and exactly what it adjusts against what inputs?

Hi all,i am in the market for a new stead. i have done a short test ride on the gs/capo/multi unfortunately it was in the wet :blast . i would like to try the 1190....i have the 06 gsa12 with no extras at all and would like to come into the future.
but all i read is problems with all multis falling to bits corrosion and more...ktm 1190 dodgy airfilters.... bmw clunking forks...... most reviews say great bikes all round most users have problems whatever the brand....
i would like a bike to last at least 5yrs, if i am going to spend 15 grand......
