Secure parking in Newcastle centre

My Lad is riding in the World Areanacross event in the Utilita AREANA at the end of Feb.

Staying up Fri and Sat nights. Bike will be in his van.

Any local knowledge of secure car parks would be helpful or Central Hotels with good car parks.

Friday night parking is provided at the event but Sat is when the parking is needed.

How big is the van ?
The Stephenson Multi is just around the corner but its very tight in my pickup but I use it as you can reverse upto a concrete wall!
It backs on to the Crowne Plaza

Or a couple of other multi's near the travelodge and the Premier Inn or Malmaison with CCTV etc, same thing
If its a decent size van, and you need a bigger spot, then parking is a somewhat problematic in Newcastle down on the river

He was thinking of staying around that area, not too far from the event venue .
