Stayed in De la Poste 5 times, but not for a few years, found prices vary wildly, lst time I stopped there (2021 IIRC) it did seem a bit dead, no idea why?
Since then they have either not had rooms, or been bloody expensive, stopped short in Montherme last year - now that was dead at night!!!! and this year blasted a bit further stopping in Esch-sur-sure - also fooking dead, although in fairness these were Monday nights on a mid week getaway.
These days I am not too bothered about drinking until the early hours and waking up still about 3 times over the DD limit, but I do like to be able to stroll about in the late afternoon / early evening having a beer and finding a nice place to eat etc.
Seems night life is dying across Europe, at the same time Pizza / Kebab shops are on the rise, so you should not starve, but maybe chuck a couple of Pot Noodles in your luggage and make sure the hotels you book have a kettle in the room, pickup a 6 pack from a local shop and you're sorted.
