Seized footrest bolts

Howdo been working on my R1100gs and went to take off the left hand footrest hanger the bottom bolts came out easy enuff tho the top one is seized :mad:there is a bit of a gap that I could get a junior hacksaw in and cut thru the bolt n get my mate to mig weld a nut on the remaining bolt or at the end of bolt where it mounts to the gearbox case I could use a fine tip blow torch to try an expand it dont want to get too rough with it and break off the lug thats on the case ... any ideas guys ?? cheers :)

Those things have helped me out in the past. Drill, WD40 the area, let it soak in for 15 minutes and pull 'em out with the counter-clockwise extractor. Yer done.

Do not use easi outs . If a stud is truly seized an easi-out will snap causing far more grief than your original problem. If an easy out removed a stud than the stud wasn't truly seized in the first place.
