Selecting waypoint around a route

HI Folks,

Does anybody know of a way to only select certain waypoints around a route ?

What I'm trying to do is I need to drive down to Hatfield from Glasgow for a training course however the company provides us with Shell fuel cards that we need to use,
so I have a route,
I have downloaded and converted the Shell stations to a format mapsource can read,
I have classed all these stations as Category 16,
transferred them all to my GPS60CSx but it now tells me proximetry memory full, so I need to thin out the Shell stations a bit,
and I thought I would be able to only select category 16 waypoints around my selected route, is there a way

Can't you just plan a route in Mapsource using the Shell petrol stations as a guide and upload the route without the way-points?

Alternatively you're only going to require a couple of fuel stops en route, use those as vias when planning and only upload those.

There may be a proper way of doing it, but IIWY I'd open up a new file just for that trip and copy / paste the waypoints that you want into it, and the route, and then "file, save as" something snappy like "Hatfield to Glasgow".
