Hi I'm gradually getting there but maybe I'm missing something here.
Is it me or can you only transfer one route at a time from your pc then have to remove lead fit the back turn on and find route. Why does the route go into my data and also custom routes and I don't seem to have to import data to custom routes as it also appears in there.
Ok if I import data it recalculates the route I then end up in custom routes with say Dent and Dent 1 one of which has been calculated it seems .So after finding my route I then have to remove back insert lead and send my next route then all the same pa larva :nenau

Cheers R.R.

You don't say how you are transferring the routes but in Mapsource you can put all the routes together-copy and paste them - and then send the lot. In Basecamp you can highlight several routes and then send to device.

It's just you.

You can send umpteen routes / tracks / waypoints at once from your computer to your device.

Well buggered if I can. If I send say 4 from mapsource to device I only find one there in the my data or in custom routes where did the others go each time think it's the last one that shows.

Yes in mapsource with the big arrow send to the device. I could maybe remove the card and copy and paste the lot from the garmin folder maybe to the card but think the other ways easier if only they were all there to be found.
Oh well back to the drawing board cheers

Can't you just drag & drop using your mouse for each route in turn to the SD card shown in MapSource or on the desktop?

OK, let's start at the beginning.

Delete ALL your current routes from your device. If you want to keep some for any reason, copy them onto your PC first. Lots of people store umpteen routes on their devices, I am never quite sure why.

Link your device to your PC to make sure all your current routes are gone.

Make sure that the maps on your PC match those on your device and visa-versa. If they don't there will always be some sort of recalculation on import.

Create say eight separate fresh routes in one folder, called test. It doesn't matter what direction the routes take, all you are doing is creating routes to see if you can send them en-masse to your device. Name them Route 1, Route 2, Route 3 etc etc. This is so you can tell if all the eight routes are imported.

Send the entire folder of the eight routes to your device in one go, using 'send to device'. If there is an option to send the waypoints to the device at the same time, click yes to that as well.

Disconnect your device.

Tell us EXACTLY what your device does now..........
