service cost?

Hi All
Just booked my Adventure in for its 1st service or annual to be correct ( 12mts old march / 3500mls ) at Clarks in Bham.
Cost £178 all inc. Is this a good/ fair price? Anyone had better?
The Adv is none ABS just in case that makes a difference & the price quoted is Not including brake fluid change,i have to pay
£22/£28 extra for that.
Welcome any comments as i have plenty of time to haggle or go else where

The annual service on its own does not require as much work as the normal 6000 mile service. And if they are adding another £22 to the price quoted for the brake fluid change, you are paying out £200 for not a lot of work.

I would ring around some other dealers as a comparison before letting them do the work.

Just had a 6,000 service done at Ocean Plymouth, £118.11 (July 04 Adv, if that makes any difference).

Check around, some dealers are doing winter rates on labour.
