How much are you paying for a service cost?

Just had an annual and 6,000 mile service cost £219.70 at Cannons.

Anyone had strange items added?

Dust cap 1.83
Bolt 3.02 ???????/

Are they taking the piss?

Titanium bolt probably, make sure its got copper grease on it, or they'll be charging you 50 notes to drill it out next year...:D

The only additional items that should be performed over and above the 6000 mile service are changing the brake fluid and checking the condition of the battery. The annual schedule also suggests changing the oil in the gearbox and the final drive, and bleeding the hydraulic clutch(for the 1150's), but it also states that this only needs to be done no later than every 2 years.

Having just done the 6000 and annual service on my own 1150, the extra items only added about 45 minutes to the overall time taken. My 1150 doesn't have the servo ABS system, so bleeding the brakes is quick and easy.

Its not too late to go back to Cannons and query the bill and what they did. If you go here you can take a look at the appropriate maintenance schedule for your bike, print it off and go down to Cannons and discuss what they did.

That cost seems perfectly reasonable. It's roughly what I paid for my 18K / 1st year annual
