service interval reset

Is there anyone that could reset my service due indicator within 50 miles of Burton upon Trent please?

(Apart from a BMW dealer :D)
 
You will also need some software such as: https://www.motoscan.de/ use google translate.
I have this software ultimate version, an OBDlink LX device and adaptor cable and this has successfully reset the service indicator on my R1200GS 2014 model.

Hi, that is interesting Ian. The LX is cheaper but another website stated that the MX only worked. Hence I purchased the MX but good to know for other members.

I have a ford car so might be useful. I will research the motoscan software

You bought the MX bluetooth version right? There is also a WiFi version.

I have a Mazda (based on Ford ECU) and yes the MX has been very good on it. I was able to disable the stop/start feature in my Mazda 6 using Forscan.
 
I wasn't aware this converter cable worked. Let me know if it works ok as some of my mates would be interested in this.

Another tool you can rent out..........you will have a good stock of beer and tools, I am just as bad,love having my own stuff, my son and grandson will be happy later.

Thanks to all who provided advice.

Equipment arrived today. converter cable, MX obd and purchased professional software.

Works perfect!! You can set the service due mileage or date to anything you want!

For other owners, you can purchase the cheaper LX obd and adapter cable (if needed for £94 on line) then £21 for professional MotoScan

If anybody is passing Burton on Trent and want it done by me for a bottle of Vodka or Gin:D Feel free to PM me (free coffee or tea)
