Service items

I buy filters etc in nippy norman, they have EU dispatch. I get my oils from the castrol distributor in cork. I'll Google the oil place and add it.
Thanks but Brexit.

I use www.hobbyist.nl (in Holland) and also my local BMW Car main dealer/garage.
Hobbyist are great but they send you an invoice after you do all your ordering online which you must pay before they ship. This can add some time to the process.
As regards the BMW "car" garage, you need to supply the official BMW part number to the parts department. While prices might be a bit more, the upside is that there is no delivery charge. I find them ideal for getting that small item that you overlooked or damaged, such as seals etc.
Some filters might also be available from your local Motor Factors as they can stock (or get in) most of the Mahle/Knecht range.

I have found the local BMW car place good - exactly as you say. My local motor factors have sourced filters - exactly as you say. Thou art a wise one.

Sorry for being a srunken tit in an earlier thread Gerry.

Got my service list, including both final drive gaitors and fork seals. I’m gonna check bmw too. Just for the humour.

I’ll be on to hippies this eeek too.

Ps soz being being hammered after dealing with a few Kerry clowns.

Embarrassed to say I still haven’t serviced the bike. Planning on doing a big clean up and service end of August. Sitting down making a shopping list.

Just curious, I expect this is a Chinese knock off and only on pre 2010 bikes (I’ve a 2007) but any one any experience with them? I don’t own gauges etc and I’ve heard a gs 911 can provide those readings?

Guy selling these on adverts…
Thanks.
Someone else bought that particular unit 😂😂. Expect it was one of you?

Just a heads up there is a €35 laptop out there as well if you really want to lodge that big thing up my arse 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤪🤪🤪🤪

Where are you buying your self service items now Motorworks is no longer financially viable due to brexit? Brake pads particularly? Gonna service the bike myself this time. Thanks.
Hi Eoin
I previously received service kits from https://www.motorcycleshop.ie/. Check the prices before you order; I do not think they were bad. I think they supplied the crush washer with the oil filters as a matter of courtesy.

Just check the oil before they ship, they 10w40 instead of 15w50 for my old gs

Neck deep in the service. I've a tread going in the hexhead section if anyone is interested. It's not longer the dirtiest Bmw in Ireland.
